first schoolgig

I was at school until 7.30pm. Maybe I should just put a bed in the basement of it.

We played on the freshmen´s parent-meeting. Me and four other people. It was pretty sweet just chillin, sound-checking, and running around in school eating microwaved food.

I also liked that we were 3 guys and 2 girls. After some thought I came to mind that I don´t like bands with only girls. They´re usually too girlie. Sure their is some really good bands with only guys, but when you mix it it feels very Indie. We like indie. Or is it indy? Naa, I like indie better.

But before the night is through

Tuesdays. Very interesting days. Usually a lots of music practice going on those days. My singing lesson in school, and our little band practice over the lunch break.

Were playing Bad things - Jace Everett at the moment. And Im playing lead guitar. I have no experience or talent in this what so ever, so its quite a challenge. Mostly mentally, because I don´t believe I can do it. And playing with people that you know can do it way better than you is hard. Luckily they're very supportive.

At least today was pretty awesome. And we just practiced improvising in singing class, me like!

I would write more, but I'm quite sleepy. Tomorrow will be unmusical. And that is actually a word, because the spelling program didn't correct me!

What, has it allready been 4 months?

My music had the most major break in the history of it. But now I decided, It has to stop. The nonmusic that is.

Once again, I freakin lost my purpose with music. I dont know why I never learn. I got caught up in thinking its all about talent, and status and stupid stupidness. Maybe Ive been stressed out by school because you actually have to study in Sweden, but I think its more than that. I used to be a localfame, and now Im not... lol. Im just average.

But! (there is always a but) music is music. Its a way of expression, its awesome, and it takes everything to a higher level.

I will start this blog again. I realized today I got a blog, in english! about music! How splendid isnt that? Now when its all about singing lessons and tricky guitars, I should use it, for my own sake. And Im also reading the whole english B class on my own, to save time for later. Two flies in one smash, as we vikings loves to say.

There is a piano in my garage. Ive never owned a piano before. Wow. Now we just have to figure out how to get it up two stairs. Well figure it out.

Been listening to John Mayers album "Battle studies". So freakin wonderful. Found my new favorite song.

Last chapter

Everything feels so weird. I think I left a piece of my heart in Spring Creek, because something isnt right. Ive got pieces everywhere, and its impossible to keep them all together at the same time.

Maybe if I got a jetplane it would work.

I guess there will be no more blogging about Ben and Elin gigs. Im not really okay with that.

So this blog will be more unactive than usual. I will also be guitarless for like two weeks until we go back to Sweden.

The end of an Era.. But Ill be back to join Jennifers tourbus in some years.

Recording, day two

So we didnt record five songs. We sure didnt have time for that many, hah. We just finished our song. So we got Fear of falling and You can never win this fight. It was so much fun when we added the singing and guitar lead. I sounded so angry when I sang, and Greg even said "awesome! But could you try again.. and sound even more mean?"

I think we got six different tracks of different solos ben played. They all sounded amazing.
